Five fun facts about Disney Pin Trading:
1. Disney Pin Trading began at the Walt Disney World Resort on Oct. 1, 1999.
2. An estimated 25,000 Cast Members trade pins with Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Resort and Disney Cruise Line each day.
3. The total number of pins available for Guests to trade from Cast Member’s lanyards on any given day is approximately 273,000.
4. Since 2000, more than 350 million pins have been traded. Taking into account that each pin measures approximately 1.75 inches, if laid end to end, the pins would cover the distance of almost four round trips from the Walt Disney World Resort to the Disneyland Resort.
5. The most expensive pin made was a Dream Jeweled Mickey Mouse pin covered in 130 different semi-precious stones that retailed for $1,295 and was released in a limited edition of three pins.

Getting married? Do it Disney style! Disneyland offers wonderful themes, amazing locations, fairy-tale princess treatment, endless happiness, and anything you could ever want! I recently visited the Happiest Place on Earth, and along with everyone else on Main Street U.S.A., I clapped and cheered as a newlywed couple rode a horse-drawn carriage throughout the park. They looked so happy! & why shouldn’t they be? Disneyland & true love? Sounds good to me :DADVICE: Visit the Disneyland Fairy-tale Website and get planning! You can even wear a gorgeous dress modeled after your favorite princess’, or hold your reception at one of Disneyland’s luxurious hotels, or even in the park itself!

For those of you with Netflix, check this out!I have been waiting & waiting for a Disney Documentary to make it to the Watch Instantly list and after seeing the Disney Parks features endless times, I was ecstatic when my boyfriend told me of this little bit of magic!
It chronicles the development and founding of the company we all know and love and even lets you in on some great secrets! Like how Steve Jobs invested and saved Pixar early on, how Woody was originally too rude and negative for production, & how incredible it was to create millions of ants and doors in both A Bugs Life & Monsters, Inc. There are even some special appearances from the voices of Pixar’s most treasured characters. My favorite part was Tom Hanks recalling how he and Tim cried the first time they saw Toy Story 2 during When Somebody Loved Me.
I feel spoiled growing up on these films and having them forever be in my life. I had seen animation before (The Land Before Time, The Brave Little Toaster- created by the founder of Pixar- etc.), but when Toy Story came around, I thought it looked cool, of course, but I wasn’t old enough to understand how amazing and ground-breaking the technology was. For those born before the 90s, Pixar was revolutionary. But I suppose I do feel better about myself, not being a kid raised on Avatar and thinking“that’s just the average way a film should look.”
Appreciate visually stunning films, folks.

Construction is nearing completion! A cast member said this brand new entrance, modeled after the Pan Pacific Auditorium, should be ready for millions to walk under any time in the next two weeks :)))

The awkward moment…

When your boyfriend has to drag you kicking and screaming out of Disneyland so you can get home (6 hours away) at a decent hour. Oh, and it’s your 19th birthday :)

You have to love the characters :)
ADVICE: I have found the best places to meet them are in the middle of the day towards the front of the park! Just walk through the tunnel on the right hand side, and just before main street: CHARACTERS GALOR! I saw some new ones this past trip even :D Lots of villains and the Tangled cast. Very fun, fun, fun :D
